West Kirby Grammar School girls and their teachers spent an eco day in Ashton Park on 3 July clearing litter.

Donned in hi-vis jackets and with litter-picking grabs, they travelled the length and breadth of the park hunting offending items.

Over a dozen bin-bags of rubbish were collected. The park was left spotless!

Thanks to Mr Vane, his staff, and all the girls for their efforts to make the park pristine.

Everyone can play their part putting the odd bottle or can or packet in the nearest bin. Teamwork works
